Food with a good cause? Sign me up!

The awesome people at KIND Snacks helped my search for the perfect bar by sending this fun box of treats.

Doesn’t this cute packaging look like a coin bank? (There’s a little coin slot at the top — no, not THAT kind of coin slot — that you can’t see in the photo.)

I’m really excited to try these bars — in fact, I might “need” to taste test one before packing just to make sure it’s up to my high standards.

KIND is a really cool company, selling snacks meant to be “KIND to your body, your taste buds, & the world.” All of its snacks are gluten-free and list other dietary specifications (like dairy-free, low GI, etc.) right on the label.

My favorite initiative is their KINDED movement. When you get a package of KIND snacks, you’ll also receive a KIND card meant to encourage “random acts of KINDness.”

Entering in your card’s code, you can see where the card was before it made its way to you.

Once you have a card, perform a good deed and pass it on. The longest KIND chain now has 17 connections and growing!

I’ve seen these bars at Starbucks and today (February 5) you can sample two flavors of KIND bars (Fruit & Nut Delight and Cranberry Almond + Antioxidants). I’m definitely going to stop by and try these flavors — you know how I love my misto!
