Finding beauty
February 23, 2010
Sydney, Australia:
Cities can be dingy, dirty, dodgy and disgusting.
If you take a step off the beaten track…
you can find beauty.
Now, I don’t want to sound like that emo kid from American Beauty (“Sometimes there’s so much beauty in the world I feel like I can’t take it, like my heart’s going to cave in.”)
But look up.
Down.
Sometimes it just takes a change in perspective.

Wonderful entry as usual. And gorgeous pictures.
I definitely agree with you. There’s beauty everywhere, sometimes it’s so easy for me to forget, but if I really open my eyes and look… I’m just can’t feel anything other than thankful, really.
Love, love love! Especially the flower in the lilypond – gorgeous!
Those pics are beautiful! I’m jealous!
I was thinking just one thing when I saw your nature pics…..golf season soon!
I LIVED IN POTTS POINT!!!! I had wild cockatoos on my street!
I tried to find your street last time and no luck!
Lots of windy roads and alleys…
Beautiful Pictures!
How about….jealous!!
Great photos!
LOL the emo kid from american beauty, you are too funny! stunning pics. the one of the flower/lilly pad shot is just too gorgeous. so glad you’re not in a “dodgy” city right now
That picture of Pott’s Point has to be the most gorgeous thing I’ve seen in a while. Can I live there?????
It’s way $$$$$. So many cute cafes and little alleys, though.
These photos are amazing! What beautiful flowers!
Beautiful pics! Seriously, they look like they came from a magazine
Aw, thank you!
Don’t fight it. American Beauty was a really good movie.
Okay, that made absolutely no sense! Pretty pictures though.
